My passion for art has been with me since I was a little girl.  I have worked with a variety of mediums including~photography, painting, and drawing.  I have a degree from the Art Institute of Colorado and use the beauty of my surroundings to influence my work . I am an avid SCUBA diver and my travels and love for the ocean and it's beautiful inhabitants influence my work a great deal.. I truly  LOVE making fish beads!  Glass is my passion... my outlet... MY art!

My beads are all lovingly created in my wonderful little studio in beautiful Lakewood, Colorado. I strive to have my work balanced through form, color and composition and to be original and high quality. My work can be found in beautiful jewelry designs....WORLDWIDE!

All of my beads are properly kiln annealed and meticulously cleaned with a dremel diamond reamer. Most of my beads are made on 1/16th mandrels and are made from imported Italian or German glass or boutique glass made in America. All of my work is unconditionally guaranteed. My customers should be as happy with my beads as I am. I welcome custom orders and will do my best to fufill them. If you have seen my work and would like a similar focal or set, please note that these are original one of a kind pieces and though I can try to duplicate them, they will never be exact.

I am a proud member of  Starving Jewelry Artists, Etsy Milehigh, Wet Canvas,  Lampwork Etc., Tranquil Beading Oasis,  The Bead Hive, Beads Beads and More Beads,  Fast Friends Studio,  and Creative Glass Guild of Etsy.  I sell on Etsy and ArtFire using the seller name "melissabeads".
